One other thing for Pokemon fans to take note of is that 2011 is the 15th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise. Nintendo of course are taking advantage of that fact and are already working on new Pokemon titles for the Wii and 3DS.

Further details on these upcoming games will reportedly be revealed at a later date. Considering that they'll be released during a memorable milestone year for the franchise, expect them to be big.
Also expect that since the Pokemon franchise remains one of Nintendo's biggest sellers, unless you somehow manage to become immortal you're never really going to catch 'em all.

Rest in peace, Satoshi Tajiri. Because Pokémon isn't the good we used to see or play.

Nintendo may be known to milk their franchises but they are still good games. Yu-Gi-Oh had frequent releases of the same type of game but since a lot of their games ranged between OK to poor, the franchise has suffered.
We may have been there or done that in the Pokemon sequels but they are still good games. The occasional spin off games are the only questionable games. Dragon Quest tends to have the same style of game but even the developer said they wanted to keep the same traditional feel for the DQ fans and I think that's what Game Freak has intended to do.I'm sure an action RPG version of Pokemon would be interesting but it might also scare of a lot of the devoted fans.
I agree with an earlier poster. I would love to see a Pokemon MMO. I would also like to see a more mature Pokemon for their audience who have now grown up. This could be a spin off, separate to their main series. Something similar to the Gamecube Pokemon campaigns but more mature.
