The "gotta catch 'em all" ethos of the Pokemon games presents a rather futile endeavor, what with a constant influx of new games, updated re-releases, and limited edition offers. It hasn't stopped fans from trying, though.
Those who just love playing through a new Pokemon game will have more chances this year, as Nintendo revealed.

The latest game announcement from the Pokemon masters isn't exactly for another romp through the woods collecting new Pokemon, though. It's for a typing game geared towards teaching kids how to -- you guessed it! -- type.
Called Battle & Get! Pokemon Typing DS, this DS title isn't just about teaching kids to type. Its primary focus is to teach them how to type fast without looking at the keyboard.

Rest in peace, Satoshi Tajiri. Because Pokémon isn't the good we used to see or play.

Nintendo may be known to milk their franchises but they are still good games. Yu-Gi-Oh had frequent releases of the same type of game but since a lot of their games ranged between OK to poor, the franchise has suffered.
We may have been there or done that in the Pokemon sequels but they are still good games. The occasional spin off games are the only questionable games. Dragon Quest tends to have the same style of game but even the developer said they wanted to keep the same traditional feel for the DQ fans and I think that's what Game Freak has intended to do.I'm sure an action RPG version of Pokemon would be interesting but it might also scare of a lot of the devoted fans.
I agree with an earlier poster. I would love to see a Pokemon MMO. I would also like to see a more mature Pokemon for their audience who have now grown up. This could be a spin off, separate to their main series. Something similar to the Gamecube Pokemon campaigns but more mature.
