New GTA in E3 2010?

We just literally heard Jesse Divinich predict the decline of video game releases on retail. Now, he's got a few mroe predictions up his sleeve, this time targeting Grand Theft Auto. If his crystal ball turns out right, we just might see another GTA title come June, at next year's E3.

Talking to Game Informer, "I think we're going to hear about another Grand Theft Auto. I think there won't be any playable. I think they'll give you some type of teaser, because we do think that a year from then in 2011 we're going to see another Grand Theft Auto."

Who between Microsoft and Sony does he think will ink an exclusivity deal? Neither, he posits. "I don't foresee Microsoft or Sony attempting to obtain any type of exclusivity with the next Grand Theft Auto. Microsoft paid a lot of money for exclusivity on the downloadable content for GTA IV, which unfortunately did little to move consoles for Microsoft. Back in 2004, the Grand Theft Auto was a huge brand, but only relative to the other brands that existed at the time.

While the GTA brand is certainly bigger now than it was five years ago, others have emerged to reach similar levels of success such as Call of Duty or Guitar Hero. In other words, if Sony gets an exclusive deal on GTA V, it would do little to disrupt Microsoft's ability to move hardware, and vice versa."

that would go against the current trend GTA 4 Vice City maybe.

they will run the GTA 4 engine for as long as possible to cut on production costs.

We'll see iterations done in the engine before sequels. Like 3 to VC and SA before it, we'll see some new locations and ideas implemented before we get a new numbered title.

I hope it's like Vice City, I loved it.. I liked the way it was designed, how bright and colorful the city was, I liked the humor in it, the cars.. the music. Pretty much everything! And I thought the plot was superb.

One thing that surprises me: Why did they take out the ability to buy businesses? It gave the game some things to do, extra side missions and stuff. And I liked not being able to cheat to get money.

Anyways. The GTA4 engine is amazing. My favorite GTA though a lot of people hate on it. Realstic car physics, amazing cover and shooting system.

Just like regular GTA fashion though, I'm sure that Vice City will only be slightly better because GTA3 was pretty bare bones and then Vice City just added a lot more to it. Then once San Andreas came out, it added literally everything. That's what we'll probably see, same thing but in GTA4 concept format, which I don't mind much. I wonder how much time people will spend online on GTA4 San Andreas.

I think that goes without saying considering its their rage engine they use for everything they make now and built mainly for gta games

Im just hoping they leave america for the next one. the games are getting dry and they've done the only cities worth doing in the us.

I can't wait to play Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar is making this sequel which looks like it uses some form of the GTA4 engine. It looks amazing and it's a pleasant change from the norm.

I'm with Pain as well, it will most probably be a new iteration based on the gta4 engine. I like the modern Vice City idea.

The game disc contains the two add ons for GTA IV comes with a Vice City radio station (featuring 80s retro music).

They're probably definitely thinking about another 80s throw back (or maybe even an early 90s), though TBH I still listen to a fair bit of early 90s music lol (Rush by Big Audio Dynamite, Nirvana, Pearl Jam). 80s is still kind of more special than 90s music.

The next gta will most definitly have a lot of the same physics as gta4, I just hope that they incorperate more customization into your characters, clothes, cars!!, safehouses ect. like Gta4 meets Saints Row 2... But a ViceCity theme seems to be the buzz at the moment, I just hope i dont have to wait for a 2011 release...

i think they need to combine gtaiv and gta san andreas cause san andreas is up there with iv but iv just takes the win cuase of ther game play is much much smoother but notw sony have blueray why dont they just mix it up a bit and like san andreas put a bigger map in it and more things t odo after the story i.e business and gang areas to take over tht actually get attacked (even if you have them all) and the fact tht you had to go to the gym and eat food plus all the weapon and druive skills was good.

Rockstar if your out there please bring GTA back to the hood. San Andreas was by far the best game (time, place, characters, customization, etc.). I would pay $60 to play GTA San Andreas on 360 with updated graphics because it was so damn good.

The next gta im guessing is going to be a remake of vice city, i thought that years ago and i still think that now :) it's going to be the same game engine because it's great so why change something good? I really hate people bitching about the next gen games not being like san andreas... sure san andreas had more to do but next gen gta is just better, end of!... to be honest i dont care where the game is set or when, i just want it to be fun online and a good story mode for those who dont have internet access. people shouldn't worry about the next game too much because comon its rockstars! let them come up with the ideas because they are usually better than all yours :) they did make san andreas huh? but if i could ask for somthing for the next game it would be planes

but i can imagine how hard it was for them just to make helicopters so i wont be mad if there arnt any in the next game

it would be cool LONDON, ENGLAND driving and shooting around UK police chases, for the first time in 3D not top down. It should be like GTA IV style graphics and animation. Drve double decker bus etc

Guys, I am 100% sure that Rockstar is NOT going to remake a game that they have already done. A company like that is always looking at new ways to improve on their old formula. Going back to San Andreas or Vice City doesn't make much sense. Even though they technically re-made liberty city, they did it in such way that liberty city was totally different in GTA 4 than in GTA 3. The new game will definately be really unique and probably take place in a whole new city.

OMG S.A was amazingly lovely! i loved the citys and the deserts etc!there should be..
up to ten lockable vehicles [alarmed too].
planes!-tuneable vehicles which cost real money.-and basically i got a lot of ideas and ive always been a HUGE gta fan eva since gta1. [its the only game i like lol]
