New Final Fantasy XIV Eorzea trailer debuts, open beta dated

With the games PC release outing just around the corner, Square Enix has released the Tokyo Game Show trailer of Final Fantasy XIV.

 

 

An open beta for the PC version of the game is scheduled to begin on August 31 at 19:00 PDT. The game will be available on September 22 for those picking up the PC Collector's Edition of the game, while everyone else will have to wait until September 30 before they can join in the fun. The PS3 version will arrive in March next year due to memory issues.

Don't think so. Just with a PC, they don't NEED to develop it on a system that has a limited memory as PCs can just get more and more memory whereas a PS3 has a fixed memory so will need to be coded differently.

Also this is looking very nice :) Hope they release an open beta out for PS3 too thougb

The game looks great. Considering this is the first of the next gen MMORPGs I have very high hopes from it. I hope it delivers, because when GW2 comes along the competition will be fierce.

the game costs 60$ then you have to pay for a monthly subscription to play FFXIV then they only let you play it 8 hours a week im passing on this game

8 hours a week as in, you play for 8 hours, but after that 8 hours within that week that accumulates, you start to get less experience instead of the normal experience.You're passing on this game because of Square Enix looking out for your health and no be the same as WoW people, then mind as well go waste your life on WoW. I'm pretty sure quest and missions will give you EXP. But they won't let you grind 24/7 for the same amount and etc.

They care about ur health so much huh?? Thats why there offering bonus content for play FFXI and FFXIV at same time huh?? I agree with whoever said last time that the reason there making the cap is because the end game is not complete and this lets them take ur money while finishing the product at the same time..
