Namco, Capcom unveiling crossover fighting game at Comic Con?

Yoshinori Ono and Capcom have been teasing something big for Comic Con. Rumor has it that it will have something to do with the King of Iron Fist Tournament. Yeah, that wasn't a typo.

This whopper comes from an an unconfirmed report from Game Informer, who reckons Capcom vs. Namco and Namco vs. Capcom will be unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con. Yes, two games, with the former running on the Street Fighter IV engine and the latter powered by the Tekken 6 engine.

Excited? A new fighting game trailer is reportedly set to go live on Saturday, July 24, so keep your eyes open for more updates.

Didn't see that coming at all.. The Capcom Vs Namco game will run on the Street Fighter 4 engine while the Namco vs Capcom will run on the Tekken 6 Engine! AWESOME. I wonder what special moves will be added when they use the capcom engine. None of the namco guys have special moves like Street fighter. But at the same time it would be cool to have Ryu fighting in the King of Iron Fist Tournament with our those cheezy fireballs. Either way I'm excited! Bring it on!!

I would go for the Namco vs capcom, just because I love the tekken 6 engine so much. Don't really care for the SF4 engine

Soul Calibur vs Tekken. Street fighter is my favorite but the gameplay is so different I'm not sure how fun it will be. You may have bastardized versions of tekken characters in the capcom game and vise versa. I want it like capcom vs snk 2. Everyone plays the way they play on their own game. Even the dude from rival schools.

Namco and capcom have worked together before, even with the NamcoXCapcom game (ps2 title in japan) released years ago which was a tactic/fighting game.

Since capcom is on a roll between SSFIV, MvC3, and a few other items in store, it's not surprising there would be a few new ideas like this above, if it's true
