More Prototype 2 details emerge, original title now available for download

More details on Radical Entertainment upcoming open-world action sequel has hit the net, giving us a clearer view on the latest installment of the franchise, Prototype 2.

As you can see on the first official trailer of the game which was released during this past weekend's Spike TV Video Game Awards 2010 show, Radical gave fans of the shape-shifting open-world action franchise the first glimpse of Sgt. James Heller, and why he is going to destroy Prototype's original anti-hero, Alex Mercer. Currently in development for 2012 released date, Prototype 2 will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

"When Prototype surpassed 2MM units we knew gamers would want a sequel to find out what happens next with Alex Mercer," said Ken Rosman, Studio Head, Radical Entertainment. "The team here at Radical is sincerely grateful to the fans and we are laser focused on delivering an even bigger and better experience with Prototype 2!"

Additionally, for those of you who missed out the original title, Radical Entertainment's original over-the-top action game Prototype is now available for download on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and will be hit PSN tomorrow. The game will set you back US$ 29.99.
