The monster hunter fever has taken over Japan this week. As expected, Capcom's latest monster hunting title, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is sitting pretty on top of the Japanese software charts in its first week of release. According to the latest figures from Media Create, the game sold a whopping 1,950,717 copies in its first five days on the market, far outstripping its nearest competitor by more than nine folds and helping the PSP sales go through the roof.

awesome numbers as expected, but I'm surprised with the success of Tales of Graces F. hopefully Namco can bring it here in our shores
