If you love Japanese games and pine for the ones that never make it over to the west, you better keep an eye on MonkeyPaw Games. This newly-formed company is promising to bring gamers a dose of these undiscovered gems.

MonkeyPaw is headed by John Grenier, Hudson Entertainment's former president. While the company has yet to announce any projects, it looks like they'll be focusing on older games first:

Japan is a mecca of gaming lore and a crypt for many of the best games that MonkeyPaw is going to resurrect. Companies tend to underestimate the fervor that fans possess toward cultural idiosyncratic art, especially in overseas game markets. MonkeyPaw will finally give these games a chance to shine.

The company is teasing a few announcements during E3, so keep an eye out for any updates.

There are some japanese titles I'm interested in getting. If they are serious about it I'll be glad to support them.

please. Or I should say OVER-localize. Just translate them. We watch enough Japanese movies, we want the crazy, weird humor. That"s what makes it Japanese.
Look at Demon's Souls that was just Japan/Asia only. The only reason it even came out is because the imports, but most importantly the resell market, were killing them. I bought a used Asian copy.
