Modern Warfare 2 DLC finally dated for the PS3 and PC

Great news guys, Activision and Infinity Ward has finally revealed the release date of the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package for the PS3 and PC.

Released last month on the Xbox 360, the five map multiplayer add-on will finally hit the two platforms on May 4. According to Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling:

The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC will hit PS3 in North America on May 4th, everywhere else May 5th. PC gets it worldwide on May 4th

we'll have double XP and playlist updates on PS3 and PC as well. I'll post details and dates on those when we get closer.

Unfortunately, details of the DLC pricing has yet to be revealed but I guess we can expect somewhere between US$ 15 price tag of the Xbox 360 release.

Because Call of Duty 2 was a launch title for the 360, and since it did very well in sales, MS would back it up. And already MW2 has been bought by 360 users over PS3 & PC combined, I believe. So why not rake in the cash.

Sides, it's probably like GTA's DLC and was contracted before launch so 360 users get it first.

Yes and no, no because people are just going to find new glitches within those new maps and next thing you know everybody is doing it, I rather have somebody camp at the same place then to have a person glitching, it's ruins the game but at the same time finally new maps

I have just been playing the original maps with my eyes closed, imagining that they were the new maps. Works pretty well.

$10 is still a bit high but it's definitely a doable price. You know they'll probably go for $15 because so many people still bought it on XBL.

Since I found out that 360 was getting another exclusive time released content deal, I've lost interest. I won't be picking this up when it drops. I think I'm done with MW2. Companies need to start treating all gamers the same way. BS.

Well if Sony or Microsoft came up to you with a bag of money saying release it to the other platforms in a month, you wouldn't accept it? Eventually it's going to the other platforms so it'll still generate money in the future. I honestly think the exclusive bullshit this generation is silly. Microsoft and Sony needs to grow up. I don't give a shit. Comes on the system I like it's what I'm going to buy. I'm not running out to buy the other or switch over.

I totally agree with you, but it's only Microsoft that is doing it. Sony even once said something like 'We're not going to pay a company huge amounts of money to stop people playing their games'. They're against it too.

Microsoft annoys PS3 users with exclusive DLCs rather than develop good games. What was last good game you've seen from Microsoft? They use all their money just to annoys PS3 users. And then a few months later it will get announced for PS3 eventually. That's one of the reasons I will never support Xbox nor Microsoft.

I lost interest as well - I play MW2 on the PC and was getting bored of the same old same old maps. Then I noticed this was going to be out a month later then advertised because of timed exclusive. Coincidentally( or maybe not so) BFBC2 was on amazon for 25$s. + Free Shipping around that same time. Picked up that instead.

Looks like someone doesn't remember the last round of the console wars, PS2 vs. Xbox. Back then, Sony was the one giving out cash to anyone willing to release their creation on just the PS2.

i wouldnt bother buying this piece of crap anyway, not after they delay it for the ps3. by delaying the DLC to the ps3 users they will be losing out hell of alot of money. boycott these developers, we as the consumers have can teach em a lesson. and yea fk you microsoft aswell. pirate MS all day long..
