Microsoft and Square Enix are in talks over Final Fantasy XIV |
Listed in: PS3, Xbox 360, PC Gaming Tags: final fantasy xiv, Hiromichi Tanaka, Microsoft, Square Enix

News and info on Final Fantasy XIV up to this point have said that apart from the PC, the only gaming console that'll get the MMO will be the PlayStation 3. As it turns out, the ship hasn't sailed yet on that particular detail, and it appears Microsoft is taking steps to make sure that they don't get left at the docks.
In an interview with RPGsite.net, FFXIV producer Hiromichi Tanaka revealed that while there are no current plans on developing an Xbox 360 version, Microsoft isn't exactly out of the picture just yet. "Currently there are no plans for a version for the Xbox 360," he said. "We are still talking with Microsoft about an Xbox 360 version, but at the moment we are only working on the PS3 version and Windows version."
The good news is, despite the possibility of adding another version for the game, Final Fantasy XIV is still well on track to be released in 2010.

I wouldn't get it if XIV comes with the same restrictions as XI..
IIRC they deleted your account/characters if you don't play/pay for a while.

a game this large would probably have a huge download, for the maps, major patches/add-ons, NPCs/vids, and any other major content, but i am sure everything else will be on disk, which would mean you are limited to 1 disk (disk 2 should not be able to interact with disk 1, etc)

I played XI on my xbox 360, that game was boring.
I like my MMO's on the PC
