Said Executive producer Greg Goodrich to New York Times, "I'm not going to be able to do another one" if that sales target is not met. After all, the company did shell out some serious bucks, even hiring military advisors just to make sure that the developers will be able to create a game which will allow "the player to fell, not like they're in a movie, but like they're in Afghanistan."
With the recent controversies surrounding the game, it sure would be a challenge for EA to meet that requirement. Or maybe not.
Medal of Honor comes out on October 15 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. We'll know then if EA will be making a sequel for it.

I don't believe this game stands out from CoD and Halo enough to sell more.

I can understand if it under-performs, maybe a sequel isn't the best idea. But when under-performing is considered below 3 million copies, I can't help but assume they're doing something wrong in the development process.
Is all that extra expense marketing or something?
