Some new details have come to light regarding IdeaSpark Labs' WiiWare and PC remake of MDK 2. Apparently the original Dreamcast release was so hard that they've decided to tweak the difficulty in the re-release.

"Our main goal is to not mess with the fun," IdeaSpark Labs creative director Trent Oster said in an interview with Big Download. "MDK2 was a fun game, and we want to ensure we don't mess with that.

"MDK2 was also way hard on the Dreamcast version," he added. "So hard it is the only game to ever make me break a controller. I actually snapped the Dreamcast controller, popping the VMU across the room when I was playing the Max levels, so some tuning will be in our to-do list."

Oster couldn't commit to a specific release date, but he did note that the team is "motivated and focused" and that MDK 2 HD will probably be out by next year.

I don't really care about the difficulty. I just want to play Kurt's levels again.

It wasn't just a Dreamcast game it was on the Playstation 2 as well.
