Mass Effect 2 has two discs

mass-effect-2It's so awesome, it can't fit in just one disc! This is what BioWare Community Coordinator Christ Priestly claims about the awesomeness of Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360, PC). Over at the official BioWare forums, Priestly revealed that the game will, in fact, be coming out in two discs.

 

Oh, but aren't disc swaps so yesterday? Not if it occurs at a highly dramatic point in the story, it isn't! "Even though there is a disc swap, it occurs at a carefully planned place in the game (that does not interfere with gameplay) and is done once. You do not swap back and forth. 1 swap and then done."

I'm pretty sure that if ME2 was on the PS3 it wouldn't even take 1/2 of the BluRay storage space.

I second that but noooooo "cause its just too hard" to port to the PS3 they'd rather put it on 2 DVD's. I'm not hating on the 360 but there is a difference between standing your ground and just being plain stupid. :-|

How come they got a really stable and nice graphics in dragon age ?

PS3 is not hard to port. Is time consuming due to the way the programing is on it's processor. However, I see this guys making it look better than the 360 again! Then I will laugh! But seeing is 2 disc t won't happen this time.
Who cares anyways PC ver. still be better.

BioWare is a great developer. The first game they made for PS3 is Dragon Age: Origins that was jut awesome on PS3. If they get more experience with the PS3 maybe they are even making superior PS3 ports.

I see a number of comments talking about a PS3 versions and honestly, it comes down to business more than them not being able to port it over. Microsoft knows they have a gem in Mass Effect and I bet they're doing quite a bit to keep in on their systems only.

The first ME is what pushed me to get a 360 and I have the second one already pre-ordered... but if Bioware was to up and port the series to the PS3... I think I'd just have to sell my 360 copies and get them for my preferred console.

PS3 could launch the game on one of those mini 3inch blurays and still have space to spare... even Atari never launched a 2 cartridge game. haha, poor MicroSoft.

i bet you sooner or later we will see massefect 1 and 2 come to ps3. dragon age was a test to see how the game will sell on the trey. Plus EA leans a lot towards sony, since they have a good contract

when will ps3 fanboys stop using disk space as a reason why the ps3 is "better", but yet when confronted about why the xbox 360 has more people on it, than ps3, they say it came out a year ealier. so take this, why does the ps3 have more diskspace? because it came out a year later

Dragon age sold more on the 360 2:1, how does that conclude mass effect 1 and 2 coming to ps3? EA doesn't even have good contract with Sony if you remember about EA holding back PS3 cross game voice chat.

Ya and Atari is doing so well now....

Does anyone really care about swapping discs? Its really a non issue when bating a console argument.
