Mafia II worth 15 hours of gameplay, Xbox 360 version fits one disc

Here's the stat you want to know about Mafia II. The game will be running for some 15 hours, and what do you know, the Xbox 360 version will come in not two, not three, but just one disc!

2K Games brought the game along for the ongoing GDC in SanFran so you can have a quick go at it, and so far, the previews have been good.

 

2K senior producer Deby Grace elaborates on these stats: "[But] the scope is pretty huge, the script's like 600 pages; 160,000 words; 300 speaking characters. It's huge, but it fits on a disc."

this game's been pushed back so many times already, it sure is nice to see that they've really polished it the best they could. or at least it seems like it.

I'm so glad Sony uses blu-ray disks! Switching disks in the middle of the game is lame. Even if they used dual-layer DVDs, God of War 3 would be on 5 disks.
If have a feeling that if Mafia 2 fits on one DVD that its max resolution is 720.

it is a shame that the dvd format is holding back development... if there was only blu ray being used I believe that games would have been way larger and longer.

developers are comfortable with the idea of giving less while receiving more unfortunately

15 hrs gameplay is a joke..... games like gta4 have 22 hrs gameplay and that game released in april 2008. we r in august 2010.... 15 hrs is really low...... assasins creed is more then 30hrs i ve heard.... god of war 3 the game with extreemely high graphics has 10 n half hours of gameplay

People who say 15 hours is sufficient should need to play more games cause normally it says by Noobs :lol: lolz
I have been playing games for 5 years and and played almost every popular game and everything finished so I know about games pretty much,Mafia 2 is a Not a sandbox game it means it is not like GTA IV actually but open ended like that so you can put Mafia 2 even into Bioshock category cause it's pretty much story based beyond that nothing you can't even swim cause it's not relevant to this game.
and Vehicles are sux can't even control in corners ,also lack of missions ,I can't believe I have just got Mafia 2 and finished almost 4 chapters and it's about 10%< lolz ,graphics are pretty much cool,I guess Mafia 2 is a nice game but it would have been improved more ,it likes released the game while developing game though there are pros most of are cons. all I have to say is Mafia 2 should be developed more like add new features ,more missions,more places to visit,swimming, motorcycles,and more accessible buildings ,This is 2010 not 2008 so you can't compare Mafia 2 with GTA IV cause it's old and Mafia 2 is new and it should have more features therefore for that.

Mafia series has always been better than GTA series in car authenticity and simulation.

BTW Mafia II is a great game.
