Luche Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring has hit a bit of a snag. The Wii version, in particular, is being delayed to November. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are still set for release on October 12 but those who pre-ordered won't be getting free lucha libre masks like they're supposed to.
Apparently, the free luchadore masks publisher Slang was giving away to those who pre-ordered the game at GameStop didn't quite pass the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008. Hence, no masks for the US and Canada. Slang are working on finding a suitable replacement item.
"Rather than post a warning sign on the official AAA mask, we have decided to cancel the mask pre-order gift with purchase because we could not in good conscious distribute them to consumers due to the potential health risk," said Slang CEO Abraham Bautista.
