March is on its last legs and that means a whole lot of big names are now on store shelves and gaming rigs. Bad Company 2, FFXIII, God of War III, and Just Cause 2 have been doing superbly. So which ones did you get? Let's take a break from the serious news and talk awhile, shall we?

For this gamer, it was Final Fantasy XIII and God of War III - and that's not because I reviewed them both. I happen to be a big fan of both franchises.

I've put God of War III away for now, since I've gotten most of the Trophies and I was still itching to grind FFXIII. Lifespan-wise, the JRPG just has more to offer. I'll get back to Kratos another time.

For now, it's Final Fantasy XIII sitting comfy inside the disc drive. Just got my first Trapezohedron earlier, and I was forced to get it via the R&D Depot because those overgrown tortoises just refuse to drop the two million-Gil spoils. That 1% drop rate is just too small for my piss-poor gaming luck. That one Trapezohedron later became three, thanks to a dismantling tip found in this guide by Drogan13 posted at GameFAQs.

I'm nearly done with the Marks, with more than 80% of them dead and five-starred already. If any of you are having trouble finding and five-starring them, this very useful guide might help you out.

So that's me all-month. What about you?

for me its Final Fantasy XIII and God of War III...
GoWIII i beet this 100% all difficulties and challenge of Chaos and Exile. i fealt its story line fit in realy well with the previous that were on ps2 and i loved the improved fighting sequences that was added in this new edition
and as for FF, i did not get to play a lot but from what i have played its a really good game. looks great. now i need to pick up my own copy so i can judge it..

Granted that Final fantasy 13 and GOW3 are two TOTALLY different games.. one is an action adventure and the other is a huge RPG..

kinda no comparison. i'm with QJ, final fantasy as ALL my rpg interest at the moment

Well i picked up BC2 because i dont have any consoles and the only one on the list other than Just cause for PC. I took a while to get use to the game from cod4 but now am starting to get better. Add Me trupirate. Is just cause 2 a worth while game?

The only new game I bought worth my time and money was PKMN Soul Silver. The rest are just blockbuster hype. The only reason I bought that game is because of the original.

I've been playing with my....oh wait..you meant game wise!!!

I've been so busy I haven't turned on my PS3 in ages. I turned on my Wii a couple times to play bowling with the fam but that's about it. Most of my game playing is either on my iPhone (soon to be iPad) or my hot new DSi XL!

Over the break, I beat Fragile Dreams in two days, put in 14 hours into Infinite Space (still not halfway), played through a lot of BlazBlue on the PSP, and played a LOT of Supreme Commander FA.
I was worthless as far as work was concerned. I did nothing but gaming.

No kidding. I dread when I get out of college and have to get a job, most likely not doing what I love to do most of the time.
Of course, I had schoolwork I should have been doing even then, but I'm a bad procrastinator so it didn't get done. I'm kinda reaping what I sow right now.

I bought the GoW collection, I never beat 1 and never played 2, but the 3 demo was amazing so I'm trying to beat that.. Can't get past the clones =\

What I really want though is a good JRPG.. I like an open world (which is why I haven't really touched FFXIII.. Still unsure) and I like a good plot that isn't all cutscenes. Think Chrono Trigger for SNES..

Got ff13 first, spent about 30 hours on that...I'd just gotten to the fun part and done some grinding...then gow collection and gow 3 came on the same day in the post..I stayed true to my promise and didnt touch 3 till I'd finished 1 and 2 which only took me 3 days as I was in such a rush to play 3(my college work has really suffered :P)...Now I've finished 3 and am going through it in very hard mode...All this has been interspersed with oblivion(cant get enough of that game)..I think I'll go back to ff13 soon enough...Its been a great month for gaming, almost too good in fact

Well, the dismantling guide was actually in the official guide book and didn't orignate from the gamefaqs. I got 2 trapezohedron from almost 48 hrs grinding!!

Played Final Fantasy VII for a while to the part where you have to fight those machines in the elevator. Could not get past them so I gave up. Now I'm back to play Final Fantasy II.

Well its all been about SQENIX this month really, Just Cause 2 is amazing, truly breathtaking size of the map is worth it in itself and the ability to find the island from lost is a great touch! The planes/cars/bikes/quads/boats are all fun and the grapple hook/parachute combination is awesome to just mess with for hours.

FFXIII is absolutely great (just wish it had a bit more of an open feel but rock on FFXIIvs for that lol.

GOW 3 havent played, they never really interested me and battlefield bad company 2 was fun demo so must buy at some point but tbh its just another FPS really.

Star Ocean - the last hope international is still hanging around my ps3 along with fifa 10 though!

I envy you bastards with money and real next-gen systems.

Most of my time has been in various emulators on PSP, and Dungeon Siege. A little Socom FTB2 (yes, 2) on the side.

As for anything FF related, I've got Dissidia that I'm still working on, and I'm halfway through FF6 for GBA. So there.

I was playing FF XIII until the battle against the chapter 11 final boss. I killed the boss, and the intense battle heat killed my PS3 GPU (now the PS3 freezes with screen artifacts 5 minutes after being powered on, good thing warranty would expire only next May).

Now I'm playing nothing, God knows until when... and to have a cherry on top of the cake, my car direction broke when I was leaving the store, after leaving the console for repairing. What did I do to deserve this? Bah

i've been playing ff13 since it came out in japan since i got all the trophies im done with it god of war 3 also and ive had a more satisfying time with ff13 but gow 3 was awesome as for the trapezodeons you ive got like a drop out of 5 but i increased my drop rate by using 2 drop items and by the time i was done i had 10 trapezodon and more platinum ingots but getting 2 mil gil must have taken much longer to get as the money drops can take 2 long now waiting for super street fighter 4 and playing trinity universe while i wait.

god of war 3 rocks, i finished the chaos mode after 300 + deaths, but all you get is the titan mode unhuman trophy :[

Front Mission 3, Gear Fighter Dendoh, ZeiramZone and Syndicate Wars on eboots.

Radiant Mythology, Pursuit Force EJ, Jewel Summoner and Dungeon Explorer on PSP proper.

I keep switching between these and a few others.

I only have a PSP, so I was playing Dante's Inferno for a couple of days but I got bored of it (not that it's a bad game, it comes kinda close to Chain of Olympus)and went back to Dissidia (I know it's not that recent, but whatever). Yesterday I reached 500 hours in it... getting the best weapons and the accesory slots it's a headache since I need them for characters I don't use like The Emperor o Ultimecia. I was also learning how to use Jecht, kinda weird at the beginning but once you get the timing he's a real badass. My favourite characters: Sephiroth (killing Cloud in the Aerith-style), Zidane, Cloud of Darkness,Jecht, and Terra. Those who haven't tried it (and have a PSP)should really do it, at least the demo which actually is like 1% of the game gives you a good insight... the reason: many of my friends got interested in it even if they never heard of Final Fantasy before or just plainly hate it, the battle system is quite over the top, but still cool and easy to learn that you don't need much background to enjoy it (the story is lame anyway). If possible try out the online mode. I bet I'll still be playing Dissidia until BBS comes out.

Yakuza 3 is the newest game I've been playing. Other than that I've been playing Breath of Fire for the SNES and Gurumin for the PSP.

Anyways. For those who own a PS3, Yakuza 3 is by far the best exclusive. It's also the best game to come out for the system this year. If you don't own it go pick it up.

I bought and have been playing Final Fantasy XIII, very good game, to bad for the linearity of the game. No flying machine to go to secret places and stuff like that, I kinda miss that. On the other hand I really like the paradigm system and the crystarium although it could be a bit larger like the spheregrid in FF X. But I still have a lot of Trophies left to gain so enough playhours left.
