L.A. Noire features the Crime Desk, where you will be looking at different types of cases that you'll take in the game. The one currently on the site is "Homicide" and shows a good example of what you'll be seeing.
This one is the "Silk Stocking Murder," where 21-year-old Antonia Maldonado is brutally murdered, found dead, completely naked, and left in the City Hall parking lot.
In the game, Homicide won't be the only type of case you'll handle, so you can expect some variety in terms of missions and assignments. From the official site, looks like they have two more to reveal.
