Konami thinking of walking Peace Walker to PS3?

A lot of people were baffled when Hideo Kojima decided to bring the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker to the PSP instead of the PS3. The famed game creator may now be realizing the missed opportunity on the PS3 as word has it that Konami is interested in bringing the game over to the console.

GamePro writes about their Peace Walker Bootcamp experience, in which contributor Ben PerLee revealed some interesting footnotes to the event.

"So after I had done the preview, [Konami] had a Q/A session with us to get our complaints/ideas about the game. Other than the basics, they asked what we thought about it on PS3 for the PS3 as well and had online multiplayer."

That's a rather pointed question from Konami if you ask me. It looks like they seriously are contemplating bringing the game over to the PS3.

It's just a query at this point though, so we'll have to wait for something more concrete from them still. You're free to keep your fingers crossed, though.

mgs games are meant to be played with two analog sticks and next gen graphics.

Why the thumbs down? As MUCH as I love the crap out of MPO, there's no denying that Peace Walker feels like the kind of game you want to chill at home on the couch for. I don't really want to be whipping my Black Poospe out for 2 minute bursts of awesomeness.

Too much of a tease. I'll be buying PW for the PSP as soon as it comes out here in Europe, but honestly, if they re-release it on the PS3, I'd probably end up buying it again.

Same tbh, but it wouldn't be that much of a difference anyway with the PSP.. if you have the PSP-3000 or Go at least. With the Go you'll be able to blutooth a PS3 controler as well as play it on a TV, so it'd be basically like a console game anyways :P

I'll definantly buy it once it comes out for the PS3 too so I can play with friends who dont have a PSP.

wow even in a time where many westerns studios wont stop ripping people by their stupid games and fast bad release , does guys take time for porting a game to a huge console and that will make them of corse spend and lose money , i will buy 20 copies of this game .

as i dont want them to port it to the PSN....if they do than i would choose it over the PSP version....

i mean MPW is supposed to be a system seller....and this would defeat that purpose.....

The main reason for me wanting the PSN version over the PSP is because using ad-hoc party is a pain as the PS3 is using Wifi itself, and there is ABSOLUTELY no one in my area (that i know of) who:

1. Owns a PSP (barely any handheld guys here at all....most of them own 360s.....damn frag-heads)
2. Is interested in the MGS series (again, its filled with fragheads.....so there arent too many fans where i reside)

so yeah

I hope so, I would still love it with the same gfx as the psp but to be able to sit on my couch and use a DS3 to play peace walker would be perfect, I don't like that little analog on the psp and I don't like using the buttons for camera and movement.

Oh rly, ya think?

Its almost as if konami would like to pimp and slather mgs anywhere it can for a few more bucks.

Cant wait for the mountain dew themed ps3 bundle,
the cell phone port,
the peacewalker deodorant insoles,
the collectors edition bag of doritos,
the solid snake solid cock ring,
etc, etc

I'm playing the japanese version now great game but the camera and controls can throw you off some on the psp. I'd LOVE IT on PSN with maybe a few bumped up graphics like they did for God of War

this is how sony is killing the psp by making all the good games over on the ps2 or ps3. they did it with ratchet and clank, silent hill. GTA vice city and liberty city. sony dont be dumb and let this happen. keep Peace walker on the psp. give people a reason to buy the system

Look at MGS4, still selling. It's just a matter of time before Peace Walker makes it to the PS3. Not only will it sell more since people can just download PW, it will look and play better. You simply can't past it up.

Hell yeah. I'm gonna' buy it as soon as it comes out on psp, and I'd buy it again for ps3. I would prefer if it was upgraded for ps3. I wouldn't expect them to bump it all the way up to mgs4 graphics and such (that would pretty much mean re-doing the game from scratch), but I would hope it'd look better than just hooking a psp up to a tv. If they don't bump up the graphics or something, though, then they should definitely not charge a full $60 for it on ps3. (though I'd probably buy it even if they did).

I doubt this'll be a very good idea. Just from playing the demo, its obvious that the devs worked hard to make this fit with the PSP, as in, quick missions that are still fun to play. While it would definitely sell like crazy, It'll really show off that its just a port that wasn't really made to be played at home.

Since my PSP 1000 died about a month ago, and my PS3 is still doing fine...I think that sounds good
