A lot of fans have been crying out for a new Zone of the Enders game. Sadly, it seems Hideo Kojima won't get work on it until after his next project is done.
That's right, the "taboo" project Kojima was teasing isn't a ZoE game. In an interview with Enterbrain CEO Hirokazu Hamamura, Kojima revealed that there are only two possibilities for his next game: either Metal Gear Solid 5 or an entirely new original IP.
"For the next game I make, it's either MGS5 or an original game. I only have these two choices," he said. "Regarding Anubis and so-forth, sorry -- those will be pushed a bit into the future. I'm 47 this year, and I don't know when something might happen (laughs)."
Apparently he had a totally different thing in mind while working on Peace Walker, but after E3 2010 he started to think about doing something else. Kojima promises, however, that his next game will be "a revolution" in terms of gameplay and will be made for consoles. Despite his indecision, development is already commencing and the game engine is already running.

Thankfully never got as stupid as Prison Break did in season four, but almost!
So yeah, a new series that doesn't involve a walking tank, and a little more "toned down"... that would be amazing.

Me too. Zone Of The Enders 3 is one I want more than any other game he has made since The 2nd Runner. Zone Of The Enders: The Second Runner is one of my all time favorite games. I know a PS3 sequel will look badass! Please hurry up and get us one Kojima!

Maybe he'll expand on some of the surprisingly fun management game play we saw in Peace Walker. Whatever it is though, I can surely say that it will be another great game.

Theres still some time inbetween PW and MG1 to fill in and I'd love for there to be a Gray Fox game too and an MG1/2 remake

I like Metal Gear and all but it has been done to death and I want something fresh and new or at least a sequel to older games that haven't had much attention for a few years.

imo it should be a new IP (or ZoE3...), and i used to be a total MG fanboy; its time to leave MGS to the next generation.
of course the new IP is going to have to still be on par with the epicness and kojimaness that was with his MGS games

Taboo, BAD MAN
Kojima will make Solid Snake what he was ment to be, BAD ＧＵＹ, that is a taboo
he is going to do it, and like peacewalker he will have his own army and mgs. Trust me guys, he will change everything
