Kojima on MGS5: Maybe I'll do it |

"Maybe" could mean a whole lot of things, a whole lot of opportunities, a whole lot of room for disappointment. But "maybe" was all Hideo Kojima could give us during the Konami stage show in TGS 2010 when asked if he'll be working on the 5th Metal Gear Solid installment.
"Maybe I'll do 5," was all Kojima said about it. While it leaves little room for guaranteed comfort, it does help to know that some two years ago, he also said the same thing about doing 4. At that time, his battlecry was, "Moving on from the series and hoped that younger members of the staff could take the reins."
Apparently, he just couldn't move on fast enough as he not only did MGS4, he also dipped his hands into Peace Walker.Recently, he reiterated that he's looking forward to be working on other projects. So if he'll be making MGS5 then it will be at the cost of that new original game.
Still, that "maybe" could bring us in two different directions, and unfortunately, only time really can tell.

I was thinking the same thing. I also didn't jump this story up because I would rather him make Zone Of The Enders 3.

'No comment' seems to end up with people putting words in the speakers mouth, so when consistently asked about something they don't know for sure about, they say the best thing they can; 'maybe'.
Don't lay into him; he, like any human being, doesn't know what his views will be in the future, he may want or may not want to do another MGS, so maybe really is the best answer from his point of view.
That's what I think anyways...

Anyways the story is over and Kojima should really just think about making another game that doesn't have the letters M, G and S on it.
