ISS Astronauts Camp Out in Space |

The astronauts aboard the International Space Station seem to think this a good idea.
Because it actually is.
Expedition 13's Jeff Williams and current ISS crew Bill McArthur will be staying in their sleeping bags come April 3 in preparation for the next day's spacewalk. The crew members will be staying in the airlock where the air pressure will be lowered from 14.7 psi to 10.2 psi to prevent decompression sickness. This is outside of the crew's regular living quarters.
The camp out among the stars is also a test, so if this works for the crew members, the same method may be used later this year.
