IO hit by layoffs, one project canned |

While some recent Hitman 5 news may have been a source of happiness to series fans, things apparently aren't going quite as well at Hitman and Kane & Lynch developer IO Interactive's offices. They've reportedly let go of as many as 35 people and even canned one unnamed project.
The news broke after 3D Realms boss George Broussard tweeted the following message: "Layoffs at Io Interactive (Kane&Lynch/Hitman). As many as 35, and a project cancelled. - Tis' the season."
Neither Square Enix nor IO Interactive have so far said anything official about both the redundancies and the canceled project. Here's hoping it's not Hitman 5, which rumors suggest is slated for a Winter 2011 release.

IO's greatest and most well loved game...mini ninja's!
Only kidding, although if it IS hitman 5 then we need to pool together money for the devs to fund it. I have 20 cent here.
