Infinity Ward employees say Activision created a 'police state' |
Listed in: PS3, Xbox 360, PC Gaming Tags: Activision, Infinity Ward, lawsuit, modern warfare 2, modern warfare 3

Secret interrogations and threats are but two of the many things Activision did when it enforced a "police state-like atmosphere" to convince Infinity Ward to make a Modern Warfare 2 follow-up. That's what an addendum to a lawsuit filed by Infinity Ward employees both past and present against the publisher alleges.
The amended lawsuit states that before IW heads Vince Zampella and Jason West were fired, Activision subjected IW employees to secret interrogations and brought in security personnel to guard the office exits.
The suit also says that Activision released only 40 percent of the team's Modern Warfare 2 bonus in March but demanded that IW finish and release Modern Warfare 3 by November 2011 before they can get the rest of the money.
Later that month, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick promised that the remaining money would be released by the end of the month but it never happened. Upon confronting Activision CFO Thomas Tippl regarding the money they were promised, the team was allegedly told to "Get over it".

Just one. And she makes about 237 Sammiches each day. I personally force her to make me 10 every half hour. I only eat about 2 and a half and throw the remains away.
God love America.

Fact, Bobby Kotick is a psychotic megalomaniac.. but that has zero to do with the fact IW was going way overboard with their behavior and attempts to overthrow their parent company.
People should not fall for this "poor us" crap. It's no wonder security was posted, these people were ready to break the disclosure agreements they surely signed upon being hired.

but i guess its a dying company anyway since IW WAS their best team... companies like that tend you fail when they get too greedy.
i hope Respawn team release a game that defeats their own call of duty franchise and we all know they are certainly capable.
