Secret interrogations and threats are but two of the many things Activision did when it enforced a "police state-like atmosphere" to convince Infinity Ward to make a Modern Warfare 2 follow-up. That's what an addendum to a lawsuit filed by Infinity Ward employees both past and present against the publisher alleges.

The amended lawsuit states that before IW heads Vince Zampella and Jason West were fired, Activision subjected IW employees to secret interrogations and brought in security personnel to guard the office exits.

The suit also says that Activision released only 40 percent of the team's Modern Warfare 2 bonus in March but demanded that IW finish and release Modern Warfare 3 by November 2011 before they can get the rest of the money.

Later that month, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick promised that the remaining money would be released by the end of the month but it never happened. Upon confronting Activision CFO Thomas Tippl regarding the money they were promised, the team was allegedly told to "Get over it".

Lawsuits usually take from a few weeks to a couple months or sometimes a year. Therefore, it's hard to tell.

When they shut the fuck up, get back into their offices and work on Modern Warfare 3. And bring me a sandwich.

Wait do women even work there?

Not sure about how many are at IW but there are plenty at Activision. Hot ones too (if you like that sort of hot nerdy type)

Just one. And she makes about 237 Sammiches each day. I personally force her to make me 10 every half hour. I only eat about 2 and a half and throw the remains away.

God love America.

Let me see, IW calls secret meetings of their own, acts insane (not turning over the finished game until it's ready to go gold and Activision can't even test it) and does all this corporate espionage on company time, using company resources.. but wants to portray themselves as victims?

Fact, Bobby Kotick is a psychotic megalomaniac.. but that has zero to do with the fact IW was going way overboard with their behavior and attempts to overthrow their parent company.

People should not fall for this "poor us" crap. It's no wonder security was posted, these people were ready to break the disclosure agreements they surely signed upon being hired.

Finally one fucking person with common sense. IW is a bunch of fucking babies. Activision has shown a more logical, reasonable, and downright realistic side of this whole mess, and it's gonna show when they win this case easily. Treyarch has always been better at making COD games anyways. W@W was a million times better than MW1 and 2 but people overlooked the map design, single player, and fun factor because all they want is a modern setting and some weed references.

ok treyarch are shit compared to IW...FACT... since they need to use IW's engine for their games cuz they cant make their own. MW1 & MW2 each individually sold more than WaW... lets face it m8 u just suk at MW games cuz u keep getting raped at it. u prefer a game where ppl stuggle to shoot WW2 guns into ppl & u feel better cuz ur actually winning at a slower paced game... aka WaW.

for the ppl who complain bout WaW vs MW u guys just suck at MW.

Right totally made up my mind

no more activision games (never bought the dlc, for this reason)

I can do without black ops
and if i really want to play it, it will be a rental or second hand (even if it is the same price as the first and one [which it almost always is, where i live])

Dude, IW doesn't even make good games. If I was Activision, I wouldn't pay them their entire salary for the game either.

I would care if maybe Infinity Ward actually made good games, and not rehash, casual shooters.

Does it matter who is crazier? We know everyone puts their best effort into their work when they don’t like where they work or who they work for/with. Forcing an early release in November in order to get paid for a previous project should make this better though. When do they get paid for MW3, when MW5 is completed, sure makes me what to drop my career and go game design for Activision or IW. I can’t see myself buying this unless it’s in the $3 bargain bin at the flea market, and since I rarely go there, that’s a stretch.

I just had a horrible thought, what if Apple goes into the home console business and buys out Activision. Just imagine the levels of Megalomaniacal controlling greed in the games industry then.

ok we all h8 activision so every1 shud just not buy their games... if we ALL decide to download backups of activision titles, and use ixreme to play them, then eventually the company will just fall. and lose lots of cash.

but i guess its a dying company anyway since IW WAS their best team... companies like that tend you fail when they get too greedy.

i hope Respawn team release a game that defeats their own call of duty franchise and we all know they are certainly capable.
