The kick is also usable for sending obstacles and unfriendly items to your enemies. There are a lot of these in the game, each with their own effects and advantages.
Another trick that'll help you get creative with your killing is the whip. This electric lasso grabs enemies and throws them into the air, where you're free to unload on them while they're defenseless. There's also a weapon that allows you to link two targets together and making them crash into each other, similar to the effect of the Magnet Gun in Red Faction: Armageddon.
Simply getting the enemy's life meter to zero isn't enough. You have to "perfect the art of killing." You get bonus points for using tricks, the harder, the better. You have to kill with skill, and you have to do it in style.
