EA has revealed that they have two different games based on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and one of them is a third-person shooter.
The first game, which carries the subtitle Part 1, is the one with the more action-oriented approach. This is Harry Potter, so instead of bullets players will be shooting magic spells at enemies such as Death Eaters, Snatchers, and others seen before in the previous films and books.
"The final Harry Potter adventure has given us the opportunity to make a darker and more action-orientated game than we have before," said engine developer Bright Light's head of production Jonathan Bunney.
"We have built new technology specifically to allow us to prove that magic is a truly potent force and, in this game, players will need to use all their skills if they want to survive."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 is due out this fall on DS, PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. There are no details yet on the second game, presumably subtitled Part 2.

But are we being cheated for buying two games to complete the game as a whole?

Yep, but they're doing the same with the film so EA have a good excuse
