His whole point for all of this, though, is that we're currently undergoing some sort of transition as regards controllers. Little by little, one peripheral at a time, we're veering away from analogue controllers to motion controllers. Simply, it's just the way of the future, the inevitable path we're headed to.

"These are just the initial stages. Nintendo did a lot of research there, we did some research there now and it's slowly progressing. I think, as this develops, in a few years most of the first person shooters will be played like this. I really think so. Maybe not the Move specifically but a pointing controller like this."

Previously, Roos also divulged that their company actually thought of having a motion control version for Killzone 2 but decided against it because it would cost them too much work, redoing all encounters.

can't fault him for thinking that. it does look like it's going to be the way to go for console play.

All depends on how accurate the controls can actually get to be honest. It's always about the accuracy. Can you imagine a similar statement being made if we were still at the old GunCon stages?

I have been playing the beta with move. After trying and not liking it I gave it another go this weekend. It took about 5 matches to get use to the movement, but once I did I was more accurate than I ever been with a controller.

So, is it actually greater accuracy, or is it just auto-aim being enabled for move /kinect use?

I was afraid this day would come.

Standard controller will always be better.

And the standard controller will always be worse than a mouse and keyboard.

I was talking consoles-type not PC gaming.

I actually prefer controllers to keyboard and mouse, but that's just me. :)
