It seems Rebellion's Aliens vs Predator has spurred Sega's interest in pursuing their other Aliens game, Aliens: Colonial Marines. After missing its planned 2009 release and being put on the backburner, the game is now reportedly once again on the way.

Randy Pitchford made the reveal in an interview with MCV. "We have an Aliens game with Sega and 20th Century Fox which we're really excited about," he said. "It's the thing I've been stealing from all my career. Now I'm really working on it, but we've been quiet about that so far."

Pitchford also explained that development on Colonial Marines stalled because of the studio's own new IP, Borderlands. "Borderlands took over Gearbox. We had so much fun working on that and when we finished we wanted to carry on," said the Gearbox boss.

Gearbox did a great job on Borderlands. Hopefully that carries over to this game.

Rebellion should go take some notes from gearbox on how to make a proper videogame and not that crap they have been putting out b4.

im actually pretty excited for this. ive been a big fan of the aliens series since i could ever remember. this has me pumped. im soo glad that borderlands was a success, and the AvP game rebellion did was allright, still a worthy play in my books.
jopefully the final game looks better than the tech demo that was leaked. its gameplay looked similar to mass effect, which is good. i guess we'll just have to see

now all they need to do is ditch the 360 and the wii and this will be an immensely awesome game.

just stick to the PS3 and PC then the gaming community can actually progress instead of stagnating because of a couple of "last gen & semi current gen" consoles.

actually the ps3 is poor compaired to 360.quality of games not so good.but im not a sado console fanboy ps3 is more for everything.if u want gaming then 360 has nailed it so the facts speak for them selvs colonial marines will indeed be awsome for all 3 platforms i sold my ps3 because i didnt like the ps3 exclusive games and ps3 online is poor fact.avp3 looks awsome on pc and xbox version has sharper visuals also a proven fact so blu ray is over rated.ps3 will never beat xbox 360 in sales.microsoft has done for xbox now what sony did for the ps2
