This doesn't really come as much of a surprise, but still it's nice to see actual numbers agreeing with common perception. Call of Duty: Black Ops is well on its way to breaking the record for GameStop's top pre-orders.

GameStop SVP Bob McKenzie shares that at this time last year, Modern Warfare 2 was the top spot holder. Now, Black Ops hae already gone ahead of MW2's numbers last year. They expect more pre-orders to com rolling in thanks to their latest promotion, "Surpize Attack".
Speaking of which, Surprize Attack is a sweepstakes offering more than one million Black Ops-inspired prizes for you to get your hands on once the game lauches officially at retail. If you pre-order the game from GameStop, you'll be getting a code that you can enter on the sweepstakes' website once a day. Keep punching those numbers in daily to have better chances at getting a prize.
You'd want to try that out too for sure as some of the cool prizes include a new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, a Harley Davidson Iron 883 and more. Good luck!
