Re-affirming their confidence on the Conan brand, Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas said that "itÂ’s great to see the evolution of Age of Conan, and we truly believe we will deliver a special and fun online experience...At the same time we look ahead, and we feel confident that Conan is a brand which will stand strong for many decades... and together with Conan Inc. we will continue our focus on investing in the Conan brand."
And as if to return the compliment, Fredrik Malmberg- Head of Licensing at Conan Inc. said "we have worked very close with Funcom for more than three years now, and we have great belief in their ability to deliver. Virtual worlds become ever more important, and we feel certain Age of Conan stands a great chance of gaining a large share of the MMO market." It seems that there's too much love between these two which is good, but as they say - too much love kills at times.
In this year's E3, Age of Conan won the Best MMO Award. This win may have been deal clincher for both companies. Well, this definitely is good news for Age of Conan aficionados everywhere.
