Turn 10 has also made sure to bring the series' emphasis on reality to the fore. They rented out each of the tracks in Forza 4 for two to three days in order to get as much information on them as possible, including the most minute changes in angle, road crowning, and other anomalies. This has reportedly translated to "terabytes worth of video and photos".

In addition to the schematics provided by many car manufacturers, the studio has also given some Forza 4 cars such as the Bugatti Veyron an extra degree of analyis by taking 3-D laser scans.

The report also notes that Turn 10 has incorporated proprietary performance data from tire manufacturer Pirelli to give players "the most up-to-date simulation of how modern tires grip or slip in a variety of racing conditions."

The Xbox 360 exclusive Forza Motorsport 4 is slated to launch sometime this fall.

The level of realism sounds like overkill to a casual racing gamer like me but I'm sure the hardcore fans will be quite appreciative.

If i can use the kinect just to track my head while using a real wheel ( like gt5 ) im all for it but holding my hands out and pretending is not nearly precise enough for a racing sim.

uses like this, if it's able to head track while using a REAL CONTROLLER (or wheel) to actually control the car, is actually a good use of the kinect. if you can only use head tracking while using shitty mime controls it's a shovelware feature.
