Football Manager dev gets award from the Queen

It's an honor like no other, indeed, to be recognized by no less than the Queen of England herself. Miles Jacobson, studio director of UK-based developer Sports Interactive of Football Manager fame, was awarded the O.B.E. for his contribution in the games industry.

O.B.E. stands for Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, an order of chivalry that was established all the way back in 1917. That's just about a couple of tiers away from Knighthood! Sports Interactive first broke out into the scene with their simulation game Championship Manager back in 2004.

They then followed this up with the Football Manager series with Sega as publisher, who eventually came to be the mother company of Sports Interactive in 2006. Congratulations!
