There's still a lot of questions regarding Call of Duty: Black Ops. There's the promise that it will exceed expectations, but it's a little too early to say. For now, Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia gives us the details himself through this two-part interview.

I agree. It's been the same game every year. Copy paste, just with new characters, story, guns, maps. And every year they say the same thing, "we are going to change CoD in ways noone has expected." Still waiting for that day.

if everyone is so happy about dedicated servers on the consoles then why does he say "we are happy to have dedicated servers on the PC" but says nothing about the consoles. He says it at the very end of part 2

Do you see what they did there??? Dedicated servers? Every PC player complained about NOT having them in MW2....treyarch learns on iw mistakes...iw takes the hit while treyarch looks awesome....jesus...they're gonne leech most of the perks...the PRO perk idea as well....make some new ones....and God i hope they don't put vehicles again... they might as well leech some killstreaks like the Chopper Gunner... anyway the game looks good...hopefully will see good coop...dont let us down on the multiplayer...not that you did before...just adjust times and use mw2 ideas and improve on the mistakes they made...after all thats what you do people

I think this was a great interview and yes people I am convinced. I also in my own opinion I believe they just Bashed on former company Infinity Ward with the Dedicated server.

this is shaping up to be the best CoD game to date imo.

MW2 was garbage online with the spec ops mode being the best part to me, but even that was poorly done. mws online wasn't that great but the story/campaign gameplay was great, and WaW was really fun but was in WWII which had been played to death already.

looking forward to this n hoping its not a let down like mw2.

That's exactly what everyone said about MW2. What are the going to say about the next game released in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014...etc. The same thing!

Cod franchise needs to STOP this 1 year release crap!

By the look of the game its looks the same as mw, mw2, waw, the same the same the same, buts looks cool, different wepons maybe, different locations, same gameplay, same graphic. For those fan boys around that are blind and cant see anything else exept infinity ward (what is left) logo, dont buy it, dont play it, continue playing that glitch bag of iw.

Gonna rent it first. Multiplayer needs to change. I can't stand perks, and I can't STAND the stupid prestige mood! I think that is the most useless thing ever in a game. There is never a point into leveling up to 75 10 freaking times. I rather just level up to 75 once but it will take a HELL of a long time to get there. Reason to keep playing the game....

And perks, so annoying! It's basically rock, papers, scissors. If you have the wrong load out you have a bigger chance of loosing the fight. Not that you can still win, but it'll be tougher. No skill involved here with perks that make you kill faster, have body armor, reload faster etc.

That's why you have to choose your perks wisely & upgrade them to pro asap.
I've haven't prestiged yet, but I am starting to get bored of MW2 since all the XP points that I get aren't going towards anything. I'm definitely going to prestige soon. Prestige gives MW2 replay value.
