There still quite a few problems with Final Fantasy XIV right now, so every update comes the expectation of better days to come for the MMO. Today, the first of two December updates will go live, so here's a quick rundown of what it aims to do.
First December update:
- New enemies, including notorious monsters
- New guildleves
- Many new recipes
- Further improvements to the naming and organization of market wards
- An additional free retainer slot
- Improved response times on the retainer exchange interface
- Further improvements to the user interface
- Increased text limit for chat log input
A complete list of patch notes should be available later today, so be on the lookout for that. There will also be a second December update, the time and date of which is still unannounced. It's likely that this fix will involve the item search feature of the market wards, among others.
More changes and updates are planned before year's end to "assure you that additional improvements will be ongoing in order to make a more intuitive and functional system."
