Enslaved was turned down by Hollywood

With all the video games being adapted into films, you'd think that just about anything could jump from console to the big screen. Unfortunately, that turned out to be false as Ninja Theory experienced firsthand when pitching Enslaved: Odyssey to the West to Hollywood.

"We were serious about it," said Creative Director Tameem Antoniades. "We went to all the big studios in Hollywood and pitched it. They have no ideaof what real time means. They just care about how good it looks. Then, the fact that you say you can do this for cheap has no interest to studios whatsoever because they don't want to do it for cheap. They want Pixar and the other higher end [studios] to do it for US$ 100 million or US$ 60 million."

Too bad, it would have been quite the visual treat given the spectacular visuals found in the game. Oh well, at least we're still gonna get our hands on it when it comes out for the PS3 and Xbox 360 next month, on October 8th.

The demo was too short but it gave a little experience of how good the game will be.

The plot for this game is. Hollywood takes games and makes crap out of them all the time, but this has too low a starting point. Sounds like one big escort mission. I haven't liked those since the 1st Timesplitters.and I certainly don't want to play a whole game of it.
Besides you should make it low budget yourself if you want and put it straight to dvd. EA did it with Dead Space, and that movie was pretty good.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with Tameem Antoniades being a total douche nozzle.

It's not necessary!
The game never even hit store shelves yet to show off it's prowess.
