1. Enslaved retail sales didn't go so hot
2. Possible sequel?

Said UK marketing director Lee Kirton, "I can't discuss where we are in terms of a sequel, but we're looking at reviews and feedback from the press and because of the gameplay and quality Enslaved delivered, we see it as a great catalog title going forward."

It's saddening that Enslaved didn't get the attention I personally believe it deserved. I'm not sure if the downplayed marketing is the sole reason for this heartbreaking sales figures, which failed to break ban, but definitely, it's got to be one of the main reasons.

If and when Namco Bandai does decide to give it another shot with Enslaved through a sequel, hopefully they'll be more aggressive in their marketing strat so that something as full of potential as this game won't go ignored by gamers who just need a bit more prodding and pushing to know what else is out there.

Enslaved also made a pitch to Hollywood, but unfortunately, it was also turned down.

This may or not be why, but in the two weeks before and after it came out, we saw the releases of Halo:Reach, Dead Rising 2, Castlevania:LoS , Medal of Honor, and Fallout:NV. Say what you want about the quality of these games, but they're all recognizable names that would have drawn people away from Enslaved.

Also, from what I can recall, the consensus amongst reviewers was great visuals, great story, great acting, but the gameplay was sort of average. To me, personally, gameplay matters above all else, so that's why I didn't buy it.

I just finished this game the other night and have been word of mouthing it to all my friends actually. It was a great game and had a lot of polish to it.

Plus it was an ORIGINAL IP!! OMG!

Too bad it didn't move more copies, I would definitely play a sequel.

I think not a lot of people gave the game a chance since most were comparing it to uncharted. The game on its own was pretty impressive and had a good story from what I heard.

Tons of bugs when I tried it. I really wanted to like it, but it was unplayable for me... and it is not my PS3
