El Shaddai finally gets dated -- for Japan

Very little has been known of El Shaddai: Ascencion of the Metatron. It was originally expected to come out sometime last year, but obviously, and for reasons unknown, it did not push through. Thankfully, though, Ignition Entertainment has announced a launch date, at least for Japan.

Japanese gamers can finally have their hands on this action title next month. To be specific, it's landing to retail stores in the region on April 28, 2011. Unfortunately, there's still no word as to when their North American counterparts will be getting it, but here's hoping that we will be hearing something about it soon.

In the meantime, enjoy this video that was presented at last year's E3. Just to remind you of what the game's about.
