EA: Infinity Ward can't compete with DICE online

Taking a jab at Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2, Electronic Arts has once again stated their position in the battle for the best FPS game - claiming that DICE' upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be in a league of its own when it comes to online multiplayer.

According to Will Graham, EA's product manager, there isn’t a developer out there right now that can compete with DICE.

DICE is at the forefront of defining the multiplayer and online vehicle warfare space and has substantial pedigree in this area following many years of success. We genuinely believe there isn't a developer out there that competes with DICE in this space, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is going cement that.

The use of vehicles in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sets it apart from the competition and no one else in the industry does this better.

This is also something the core are very excited about: DICE's history of delivering a multiplayer experience utilising vehicles is something that sets it apart from anything else in the market. It's also an element that fits with the increasing emphasis on multiplayer for gamers in general.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be released on March 2, 2010 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Thanks to Peter B. for the tip!

can't stand the online of this battle field and the last. To slow, bullets don't feel as if there hitting any one.

Just getting it for the single player, mp will stay with cod for me.

IW are just rippers , BFBC2 is the game not for quality but for the respect of players , even no MOD suport i have apreciated the demo inlike the bastards IW who said demo cost money , and MW2 is already out of the scene as expected from a money product , so guys lets just not buy MW3 if they folow the same production politic . and suport BFBC2 .

IW didnt need a demo

The media did it for them, and so did their customers, it was sold out in many shops, and their were massive Queues here.

The place i live, aint big on games and this is the first time i ever saw anything like it before, we're not big on release day products, barely anyone would even think about lining up for a iphone etc

but the town was totally packed out, and some major crowd control issues

No one needs a demo for games like that

GTAIV didnt need a demo, although it was totally irrelevant when comparing to cod mw2 lines

basically a company who wastes money are incompetent, i dont want a game made by the incompetent (although read on, dev and publishing is different)

also things like demos and marketing are down to the publisher Activision

Battlefield does need a demo, i wasnt thinking about buying it, but now i pretty sure i want it, not too many people could say that about cod, when pretty much all your mates have a game youll buy the same game.

Also i dont appreciate EA's comment, let the product speak for itself, and stop talking bull

The thing is though, there hasn't been a GTA demo of the series in years. Hell, looking at the PS2 games I do not ever recall seeing one and it was not only fun, popular but it was brilliant. People still call SA the greatest, while I agree for the PS2 days I love GTA4. The episodes are looking to be a major beast.

BFBC2 is better in my opinion.

Altough I hate all the MW2 players in BFBC2 because they just run towards the enemy base get blown up and find it weird that our team is losing.

Strategy is the key people! Stop running in to bullets, wait while U get repaired instead of driving a perfectly good tank to its destruction with 13 hp left.

That's what bothers me most. People that dont care to think for 2 seconds before they attack with more than just them selves against 10 people that dug themselves in just waiting for you to be target practice.

Luckily not everybody play's like that :)

MAG is absolutely brilliant. i hate ea, so they can stick their bfbc series up their ass. mw2 is ok but still shit when compared to MAG.

just to throw in my 2cents, the only downside about BF is that it doesnt have the crazy popularity as MW so i dont see them selling as much. But VIZARDoo not trying to dis you or anything but to me BF is a better quiality game this decision is based on bad company 1. and hush404 this is coming from individual experience but i had a pretty bad experience with MAG nothing went my way i couldnt get a kill to say my life people try telling me that it was my connection i have a 20mb connection so i think it rules that out. all in all im looking forward to BF because it is better that MW

there is more people on my buddy list playing BFBC2 demo than MW2.i think that mw2 was a disappointing when compared to cod4. BFBC2 on the other hand improves on everything and makes one hella fun game. Even when i lose a game on the demo it feels like fun. BFBC2 is a real fps war game.

100% agree with this. BD2 is just too fun and MW2 just fail for it takes no strategy to win just mindless shooting.

Any multiplayer AAA title that had a Beta will always be better at launch in comparison. Just look at Gears of war 2 (worst multiplayer launch this gen) or MW2.

EVERY AAA TITLE THAT HAS MULTIPLAYER MUST HAVE A BETA!!!

# demo is funGuest 2010-02-20 03:14
i actually love the demo and find myself playing it just as much as i play mw2. i just can't stand the sniper you unlock can't hit a damn thing with it. I wanna see the other levels and what not before I buy.

I really enjoyed BF2 on PC, and I miss having the ability to run and get into a helicopter or tank with an ally and go around gunning people down, far better than what they did in MW2 in my opinion. As for MAG, I only played beta a couple of times and never saw any 256 player action, or vehicles so i can't comment.

Ok it may not be the case with BFBC2 but I got Battlefield 1943 on the psn store and I have manged to get online ONCE! yes ONCE!
How can they compare the servers from DICE to activison?! I do like Battlefield games, as much as I like the CODMW games! They are both great fps! But EA well they can suck my balls to be honest! They are up their own arses in bullshit lol! sorry /end rant
