Duke Nukem Forever is back, first gameplay footage outed

Oh it's real, it's damn real! It took them almost "forever" to develop, but here it is folks, the long awaited Duke Nukem reboot, Duke Nukem Forever! Check out the first gameplay footage, fresh from the PAX 2010 show floor.

Developed by Gearbox Software, Forever will be out sometime next year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

the very 1st game i purchased when i was a kid was duke nukem 2. my ol man gave me duke 1. and duke 3d. i played time to kill and land of the babes. and advanced for the gba. now the 1 main game i've been waiting "FOREVER" for is comein out. after all the trouble they have had it is finally going to be complete. wicked can't wait. wonder if they will also release the duke games they had planned for the ds and psp.

I've only played the Demo of Time To Kill on a demo disc called Jampack for PS1 in 1997 I think and I had so much fun. I just wish i can play the full game when the full game comes on PSN.

I loved the wicked boss battles in Duke 3D. But the market is saturated with FPS to a fault. I would have preferred a revolutionary action platformer.

Jeez it looks terrible. Slow paced and empty, you can tell the developers have never played Duke 3D or the platform Duke's. People should stop with this crap of focusing on large empty levels just because its easier to implement multiplayer into them.

You do know that some of the same people that made Duke3D are working on this right? When everyone from 3DRealms got fired, a lot of them were hired by Gearbox to still work on it.

I got one thing to say Finally I new about this ages ago. After I tested the first one it has changed a lot. Wish I had changed with them lol.

Compare those videos of Duke forever to that. Notice the big open empty space in Duke 3d? None existant because they made the game for single player in mind.
This new idea more people play multiplayer in fps' games compared to single player is what gives new fps' that small learning curve.

Meh! Looks jusdt like another Halo-ish Game. Has yet to spark any interest in me... Too bad too I was really looking forward to it.

Can't wait for this game, I still have all the screenshots I saved while playing DN 3D on the network at work. Best game ever especially when using the jetpack.
