Sony may have pulled the plug on its PlayStation boutique in the Metreon in San Francisco, but in Japan, there are two chic concept stores for all things PlayStation. Consoles, games, peripherals, testing kiosks - you name it, it's all there.

One of these neat stores is in the shopping district of Nipponbashi in Osaka, and the other is in Ikebukuro, a large commercial and entertainment district in Tokyo. Both are currently holding special events for Hototohisu Tairan, a tactical card game developed by Irem.

So why would I want the same thing here? We have Game (good for the occasional sale), Gamestation (good for second hand), HMV (cheap) that are all great. They all stock the same titles too.

For people which don't want to buy online, that's a good choice.

Though Asda and Tesco can be great at times. I bought a few PSP games last year that they had mispriced at £5.99, was great! Also my local Sainsbury's had Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 at launch for £25.

It's not new by far, isn't setup like this...but it is just for all things Sony...maybe it will get a face lift.
