Well they did insist on standing right by him. GamesIndustry reports that EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 suffered a massive 68% drop in U.S. sales following his recent scandal. "Particularly catastrophic" is how this could best be described.

The Wii version alone was found to have slid a major 86% decline for Tour 11 as compared to Tour 10. Doug Creutz of Cowan & Company opines, "Although this is probably due in part to the fact that last year's version shipped bundled with Nintendo's new MotionPlus controller, we are concerned that Woods' scandal woes may have damaged the sales potential of what we believe to be EA's third most important sports franchise, behind Madden and FIFA."
We're pretty sure EA's also toying with this possibility as well, although we highly doubt they'll be saying that thought out loud if ever.

But I must say, Deadspace was an awesome game and it's a shame I was forced to rent it.
