Devil May Cry 5 to be more Westernized

The Devil May Cry series has developed a strong fanbase and respectable sales numbers over the years, but for Capcom's global head of production, Keiji Inafune, that's not enough. For the next iteration, Inafune and Capcom plan to further increase the game's appeal to Western audiences.

 

"Despite the franchise has some very loyal followers, their sales are not particularly high, especially overseas," Inafune told Spanish gaming site 3DJuegos. "For this reason, it is likely that in the fifth chapter will incorporate certain "Western touch" to make it more attractive to American and European players."

 

Capcom has yet to officially announce Devil May Cry 5, although rumors have tied the game to Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory.

you guys are silly. you hear "western" and automatically go "FPS SPORTS." you dont even know what changes theyve made yet. what if theyre actually for the better? what if theyre adding some form of character customization? you never know.

westernization, usually means generalization. the things that appeal to the general public aren't as rewarding or appealing (usually) the hardcore.

take for instance MvC 3, its easier and much more "westernized", so that the general public I.e. S C R U B S buy it.

scrubs out weigh the hardcore. so they want some scrub money, its not about the gamers anymore.

I don't think MvC 3 is a very good example. It may appeal to a larger audience now that it has a really cool roster, but don't doubt the amount of skill it will take to play it competitively. I do, however, feel that this game will indeed be made for the casual audience and will appeal to people with the attention span of a five year-old.

Hello To all you Devil May Cry Fans.I want you to know i have found out what is going on.So if you want to know what i know..Well you got it what i found out they are Deciding make some huge changes in this new game.This new Dante look is what they are agreeing on,But fans arent agreeing with it.They Rather have the old Dante look.But what i here they are working on putting some of the people we know in the new one i have to say what they are working on is going to be something we might just like.Right now they are showing use the new young person they have discover now but you are also going to see faces we know.Plus new moves new weapons and also great levels and better bosses that i know you are going to like so dont let this New face fool you there is alot more added to this game.I cant wait until it comes out
