Deal: Sega permanently drops the price of all its iOS games

If you missed Sega's Thanksgiving offering late last month, well don't fret, the publisher has now announced a permanent price drop for nearly all of its titles for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. This will include:

  • Chu Chu Rocket: from US$ 4.99, now US$ 2.99
  • Chu Chu Rocket HD: from US$ 6.99, now US$ 4.99
  • Ecco the Dolphin: from US$ 2.99, now US$ 0.99
  • Golden Axe: THEN: from US$ 2.99, now US$ 0.99
  • Gunstar Heroes: from US$ 4.99, now US$ 2.99
  • Phantasy Star II: from US$ 4.99, now US$ 2.99
  • Shining Force: THEN: from US$ 2.99, now US$ 0.99
  • Super Monkey Ball 2: from US$ 5.99, now US$ 2.99
  • Super Monkey Ball 2 Sakura Edition: from US$ 7.99, now US$ 4.99
  • Sonic The Hedgehog 1: from US$ 5.99, now US$ 4.99
  • Sonic The Hedgehog 2: from US$ 5.99, now US$ 4.99

Sod the iOS. Reduce Sonic 4's price on the consoles. £9.99 is a rip off for such a small game.

why should this be an Apple exclusive deal? Sega seem to be forgetting their roots, they started on the console, not the hand-held...
