EA is bringing more of their high-profile game franchises to Apple handhelds. At a recent event in Japan, the company announced plans to release iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad versions of Dead Space 2, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and a bunch of other new titles.
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, which comes out next month, will feature 20 licensed cars and 48 different race events. EA plans to add a multiplayer component as well.
The handheld Dead Space 2 isn't actually a Dead Space 2 port but more like Dead Space 1.5. The third-person shooter will bridge the gap between the original console game and the sequel. Think Mass Effect Galaxy .Unlike Dead Space: Extraction it won't be an on-rails shooter.
