Dead Space 2 demo could be EA's Christmas gift?

If Capcom isn't feeling too hot about demos, you can count on EA to feel differently about it. The game's producer has dropped a little hint about a demo for Dead Space 2, and it's edging closer than you might know.

Game producer Steve Papoutsis has let it slip in the latest episode of "Questions With Steve" that a demo for Dead Space 2 may be on its way. Asked if it's possible that it's coming as a "Christmas gift", he replied, "Great question, a lot of people are asking that question. Gonna have to do some thinking about that but I would say stay on your toes, stick on the Facebook page, and (wink) you never know."

The good thing about this is that it's really just a matter of finding out when the demo will land. Back in March, Papoutis has actually already confirmed that a demo is set for Dead Space 2 because they want to make players say, "Holy shit, I'm going out right now, I've got to get this!"

Well, not right now, exactly. Dead Space 2 won't be out till January 28, 2011 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. When that date comes, then you can say "right now".
