David Cage: Microsoft lied in E3 Natal presentation |

Quantic Dream's boss David Cage is a bit skeptical of the upcoming motion-sensing peripheral from Microsoft, claiming that the company lied on it's Natal presentation at last year's E3 conference. Speaking to Destructoid, Cage said:
I've seen Natal, and I'm really curious to see what they're going to do with it. I was a bit frustrated that they presented it with a sci-fi-type presentation..
When the kid comes in with the skateboard and the laser ray, scanning the skateboard, and then it's in the game. The ability to take pictures and then map images into a game is possible, but not to the extent that the Natal promo video would like us to believe. We are in the industry; we know what's feasible and what's not.
I thought it was a little bit lying to present it that way, because it will let [consumers] think that they will [see] something that they are not really close to getting.
Microsoft is set to reveal more details of their new hardware at this year's E3 while Cage on the other hand, was already hinting at PlayStation Move support for Heavy Rain since Sony's magic wand was announced.

The move may LOOK like the wiimote, I think its patent breaking right off the top... but only in its physique, I was able to program and use the Move to accurately write my name on a computer screen neater and more accurately then I can use a mouse, within 5 minutes of getting it. I predict BIG things for the move if Sony invests in the right studios, I've seen the game designs at my studio that are being hyped to publishers with the Move being a key feature... and if Sony invests, then it'll be really cool.
The wiimote... I mean uhhh... the move gives programmers like me the ability to make user interfaces never before seen on consoles because of the lack of a mouse, now if we could just get a gig of ram and gfx card with its own gig, then we'd be kicking.

The video was built to drum up excitement for Natal, as opposed to Sony, while interesting tech as well, had a very, while not altogether boring, slapped together presentation.
They've never shown the image recording feature in real life yet, so you can speculate on how well it'll work, but to expect that it'll work as well as in a pre-made video is just stupid.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious David, you dolt.

Natal is nothing new, Even Sony tried making their PS3 eye out to be better then it is with the videos of the PS3 eye showing some really cool things yet when it came down to playing with it, It was just the same old stuff just a little better.
Lets Hope the PS3 Move will really be True 1:1 motion control AND... the games will Use the full motion of it, not just add it as a last thing to the game and just makes it crap.

Of course the advertisement was fake, all of them are.

Also, in the invisible walls podcast, they said that when you tried the Milo demo, MS employees told you what to say so it would seem like a real conversation...

I don't see a way for real games to use Natal at all just stupid "wii type" games.
