Square Enix, known for the garish production values of their releases, has made data install features a ubiquitous part of their recent big PSP games. The 3rd Birthday won't be any different.

Producer Hajime Tabata confirmed the Memory Stick install feature on Twitter recently, although the exact details like install sizes have yet to be revealed. Tabata heartily recommends the feature so players have a much smoother experience with The 3rd Birthday.

"The PSP is a good piece of hardware, but its difficulty is the slow loading of the UMD," he said. "3rd is compatible with install, so after buying I recommend you first run the media install. The loading becomes fast, and you can play much more smoothly."
