DAoCThe recent patch 1.84 in Dark Age of Camelot now allows players to spellcraft "legendary weapons." However, DAoC players are discovering that if they try this with such a weapon made before the release of the patch, the SC disappears when the owner zones or logs out.

While all "legendary weapons" made after the patch release has this SC ability built in, apparently some older weapons make a "code check" when the owner zones or logs out and erases the bonus. An oversight on the part of the developers; Sanya assures everyone that the bug will be fixed today.

There's also a rumor going around to the effect that DAoC players in the EU can make potions by the barrel, which can't be done on U.S. servers. While Mythic's European partners, GOA, are not supposed to add objects that may affect game balance, the barrel issue apparently falls into a "gray area." According to Sanya, a similar barrel for North America is under discussion.

Evading: Don't look for an "exact formula," because there isn't one for this. "Evade" is an ability with specific levels. Only two variables will affect your chances here: your level and whatever modifiers specifying "plus to evade" you might have access to. Sanya has another suggestion here:

"If you'd like to see everything I've previously said on the subject of evade, go to good ol' Google, click 'advanced search,' and put the Herald's URL into the domain field. This goes for most formula questions."

This also applies to formula questions, she adds.
