NBA Jam fans can now rejoice! Shortly after ESRB hinted at the game coming to the Xbox 360 and the PS3, we now have solid confirmation on this matter. However, it's with a catch.

The catch is that you will be able to get it on your PS3 and Xbox 360 only by getting NBA Elite 11. But still, even if you do, there will be something held out from the experience.

Explained Jordan Edelstein to ESPN, "We're still holding back the Remix Tour for the Wii consumer, and that's about 20 hours of gameplay. But for the PS3 and 360, we want to people to try Elite. We feel like NBA Elite 11 is a great product and we want people to give it a chance and see all the changes we're making. So as a way to say thanks to these peole, we are going to let them experience Jam. It's not the full product, but it's a good portion of it."

So just to make things clear, NBA Jam is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360, but it will NOT be sold on either the PSN or XBL. "If you still want the full product, the full experience is on the Wii, but if you pick up Elite, you're still getting a good taste of it, especially with the inclusion of online play."

lol....unbelievable....seriously i will also pass...just stop being asses and release the FULL game on XBL....consumers need to take a stand and not support this BS decision...if people continue to support these companies no matter what...practices will NEVER change.

"We feel like NBA Elite is a good product and we want people to give it a chance..."

...So what you're saying is that you don't trust Elite to take on 2k11, so you're bundling the game people are actually interested in with the game that you actually want to brag about... Has anybody at EA ever just considered making good games and then charging for those games? It's a bit of a step backwards in the whole progressive-marketing schemes of today (make good games, give them away for free with the purchase of a crap game), but tradition is still better than incompetence...

I already preordered Elite. It's not supposed to be fair. It's a thank you to their customers. Thanks EA.
Besides why should EA make a good game when everyone praises 2k and their game has bugs the developer won't even patch, last years game was near unplayable, but hey Jordan's on the cover this year. You realize he's retired right.

# Jordan may be retired...VC 2010-08-06 21:07
but he is the G.O.A.T! Its taken this long for EA to finally realize that their NBA Live is not the better bball game to buy, so they had to scrap ething, change the name for a new beginning to try and emulate what devs on the 2k team are doing right. We will see what pans out, ill rent it just to check it out... but if EA didnt steal that contract deal w/NFL, they would be doing the same thing, renaming and re developing the game cause they knew NFL 2K was a way better game than their MADDEn...

They went through all the trouble of dissecting the game to only put a portion of it on the NBA Elite disc? WTF? That makes the least amount of sense for a videogame. Put it on XBL or PSN, or go fahk yourself.

ill just get the full version for my Wii, and stay loyal to my 2K!!

Damn i wish 2k still made NFL games because Madden series wouldve been obsolete by now if EA didnt steal that deal w/NFL...

Yeah, so I was going to buy NBA Jam when I heard it was coming to PS3 and Xbox...and now that I have no ability to do so, I guess I'll have to just download it for Wii. :-/ I WAS going to support them, but not anymore. Fuck exclusives.
