Along with the release, Treyarch has also announced on their Tweeter feed that they are hosting a "double XP" weekend starting this Friday until Sunday, February 6th. The event will be available on all platforms.
According to Treyarch's community manager Josh Olin tweet: "The first ever #CODBlackOps Double-XP Weekend will be Feb. 4th - 6th on all platforms."
So if your lagging behind and having trouble ranking up, this week is your best chance to catch up with your fellow buddies and rank up twice as fast. The "First Strike" DLC is now available in the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1,200 Microsoft Points. It is scheduled to hit the PS3 and PC next month.
