So Call of Duty: Black Ops for PC will have dedicated servers. That's already been confirmed. Thing is, there's a bit of a catch. Activision and Treyarch have announced that the game will be using GameServers.com exclusively for its dedicated servers at launch. That means if you want to take advantage of the feature, you'll have to rent a server from GameServers.

GameServers' pre-order page has 18-player ranked servers priced at US$ 14.95 a month, although you do get a discount on subsequent monthly payments and if you get 3, 6, or 12-month subscriptions. Unranked servers will cost US$ 0.99 and will have a maximum of 24 players. You also have to pay additional for teamspeak.

Call of Duty: Black Ops launches this November on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

at 1st they removed it (piracy ...)and now they made a deal with gameservers.com "lol" , the money machine started again and nothing can stop it . missing IW now EA respawn .

this deal mean one thing , blizard and activision are not doing well otherwise battlenet would be the only servers choice , hope they broke the aliance and let ACTIVIsion good no commercial games ...

from what i've seen i think treyarch has done a lot better of a job on black ops than iw did with call of duty modern counter strike warfare 2.

This will make MoH the superior online game, as we all connect to EA's servers, I think Acti-Blizz have enough money to do the same as EA.

I just wish they had dedicated servers on consoles, but even better would be the option for ded. servers OR matchmaking and do the matchmaking like Guerrilla games is doing for Killzone 3 and matching gamers based on skill. C'mon Treyarch and Activision, we want dedicated servers, too.
